DAY 1 SANTIAGO – TALAGANTE – SANTIAGO

Reception at the Santiago Airport and transfer to the hotel.
In the afternoon, we will leave towards Talagante to visit the Undurraga Vineyard. Founded in 1885, this century-old vineyard contains one of the oldest wineries in Chile and is a pioneer in the country’s viticulture with unique wines of specific origin.
The tour begins in the park of the Viña, created by the French landscape designer George Henry Dubois, who also designed the Santiago Forest Park. Then, we will continue Aliwen, a place where part of the vegetation typical of southern Chile is recreated and where our main indigenous people “Mapuche” are honored by exhibiting figures of their culture and making their worldview known. Then, we will tour the vineyard, getting to know the soils through a pit, identifying the different strains that Undurraga grows through a variety garden, and show the vinification process of the different wines and then access to the centuries-old underground cellars. We will end the tour by visiting the “People of the Earth” collection, a sample of Mapuche and pre-Columbian life and art in honor of our native peoples.
The tour concludes with a tasting of 3 Reserva wines.
Return to your hotel in Santiago and accommodation.
