Coral Coast is an 80km (50 mile) stretch of beaches and bays along the Ocean Road between Nadi and Suva. As a well-established tourist destination, the Coast offers both the full resort experience and a chance to visit the real Fiji in the many villages along the way. Golf, beach life and diving are there for the taking. The resorts on this coastline are further apart from neighboring resorts and further away from restaurants, shopping and nightlife so stays in this part of Fiji tend to be “resort stays” especially if visitors have not rented a car. Sigatoka is the closest town but there are many activities that can be done in this area including the Sigatoka Sand Dunes National Park and the Kula Eco Park and day tour operator’s pick-up and drop-off at most major hotels on the Coral Coast. The beaches along the Coral Coast can be lovely depending on the property and if the time that visitors have to visit Fiji does not allow for an off shore stay, then the Coral Coast is a good option.
