A bustling city nestled beneath lush green hills and on the shores of one of the world’s most beautiful harbors. This is Wellington, New Zealand’s capital city and a superb location for a breathtaking urban adventure. As the hub of New Zealand arts and culture, Wellington’s thriving central city district provides endless entertainment. The national museum, Te Papa, is majestically positioned on the waterfront and offers an extensive insight into New Zealand history and culture.
For movie buffs, a tour of the Lord of the Rings filming sites is a must and a ride on the historic cable car to the botanic gardens will be loved by young and old. The vibrant inner city is a shopper’s dream, and at night it comes alive with world-class restaurants, bars and nightclubs. Wellington’s strong theatre culture means you’ll find live shows and concerts on every night of the week.
Wellington’s waterfront between downtown and the golden sands of Oriental Bay is a popular recreational destination.
