Travel to the Valley of the Temples, in Agrigento, Sicily, where you’ll see some of the best preserved ruins of ancient Greece. Among the countryside full of blooming almond trees are wonderful ruins of the temples that, in the course of time, kept intact their architectural magnificence. Seven major temples are found in this valley. The temples have a Doric style, with six majestic columns on the front side, except for the Temple of Olympian Zeus. The most impressive is the Temple of Concordia, built in 440 B.C. It is nearly perfectly preserved and has continued to be used over time. Come see why the Greeks chose this site on a cliff a few miles from the ocean.

Linger over an exquisite four-course meal while traditional Sicilian melodies fill the air. Join us on your free evening for an unforgettable dinner at a popular local restaurant. Your evening begins with a typical Italian antipasto and continues with a variety of local specialties and fine Sicilian wines. Delight in the lively music performed by talented local musicians who are sure to have you clapping and singing along. Sit back and savour the flavours of Sicily during a fun-filled evening with true Italian ambiance and local cuisine. Duration: Approximately 2.5 hours. Please note a minimum of 15 passengers is required. Transportation is included.

GIARDINI NAXOS: Mount Etna Offroad Adventure $78 CAD **must be purchased prior to departure**
See Sicily’s wilder side on an off-road adventure to Mount Etna. Stare up at the iconic peak as your vehicle climbs along the sides of Europe’s largest active volcano. Spend the afternoon exploring this legendary giant, passing by lava formations and basalt rocks before returning to your hotel in Giardini Naxos in the early evening. This option must be booked no later than 30 days prior to departure. Please note that you will reach an elevation of approximately 6,500 feet (2,000 metre s) above sea level. Duration: Approximately 5 hours. Please note a minimum of 15 passengers is required. Transportation is included.

MATERA: Alberobello’s Fanciful Trulli $85 CAD **bookable upon arrival at destination**
Journey to Puglia, Italy’s bread-basket region. In the company of an expert local guide, explore fanciful Alberobello, a whimsical, UNESCO-protected city that hosts a collection of cone-shaped trulli homes. Enjoy some free time to meander through a labyrinth of these gnomish houses, sometimes featuring symbols with superstitious connotations before returning to Matera in the early evening.
