Weather

The rainy season along the East Coast is from November to February. Unexpected flash floods, although rare, may occur. In such circumstances, the Company reserves the right to make necessary changes to the itinerary.

Train

Train journey from Singapore to Tampin Station, Malacca is without a guide onboard. The trains in Malaysia are clean, functional and comfortable and are of local standards.

DAY 1 (SUN) SINGAPORE – JOHOR BAHRU - MALACCA (250 KM)

Pick-up from hotel in Singapore between 08.00hrs – 08.30hrs, and then depart to Malacca. Continue the journey with estimated arrival time around noon, tour of the historic sites such as Cheng Hoon Teng Temple – the oldest functioning Chinese temple in Malaysia, Kampung Kling Mosque, Jonker Street (Antique Row), Baba and Nyonya Museum, Stadhuy’s Building, Malacca Clock Tower, Christchurch and the famous Porta de Santiago.

Accommodation : 1 night in Malacca.

DAY 2 MALACCA – KUALA LUMPUR (147 KM)

Depart to Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia. Upon arrival you will be given a tour of the King’s Palace (photo stop), National Mosque and Railway Station, National Monument, Independence Square, Sultan Abdul Samad building (photo stop), Selangor Club (photo stop), St Mary’s Church and the world’s tallest free-standing flagpole. Tour resumes for visit to the Sri Mahamariaman Temple and colorful Chinatown for bargain hunting. Stroll along Chinatown. From the tallest Communication Tower in South East Asia, enjoy a panoramic view of the city.

DAY 3 KUALA LUMPUR

After breakfast, depart for a tour of the countryside visiting a pewter factory showing Malaysia as one of the biggest producers of tin, the Batu Caves – the holy, sacred cave temple for the Hindus (except during Thaipusam Day in January/February) and a batik gallery. Rest of the day is at your own leisure to discover the good bargains and cozy cafes and restaurants of Kuala Lumpur, the happening city.

DAY 4 KUALA LUMPUR – CAMERON HIGHLANDS (220 KM)

Depart for the Cameron Highlands located at 1542 meters above sea level and noted for tea plantations and cool temperatures. Stop on the way for a visit to see the cottage industry of basket weaving followed by Lata Iskandar Waterfall and a native settlement. Be immersed in the cool, crisp air of the Cameron Highlands with its wonderful scenery. The tour of Cameron Highlands consists of the tea plantation, tea factory, market place and butterfly farm.

Note: Tea factory operation is closed on public holidays.

DAY 5 CAMERON HIGHLANDS – PENANG (330 KM)

Set off early to Penang. Stop at Ipoh and the Royal town of Kuala Kangsar. Discover Ipoh Oldtown. Brief tour of the colonial Ipoh town, including the “Taj Mahal of Ipoh” – the Moorish-style Ipoh Railway Station and Ipoh Town Hall. Walk along Concubine Lane, formerly was a residential area to many rich Chinese magnate and British officers. Today, the pre-war shophouses that line the street have been restored to their former glory. Continue to Kuala Kangsar and drive around Bukit Chandan. View Malaysia’s unique architecture of the exterior of Masjid Ubudiah, Istana Iskandariah, and Istana Kenangan (Royal Gallery), with photo stop. Continue visit to the Labu Sayong Center where unique shaped pots are made with deft hands and creative inspirations mostly by womenfolk.
Cross over to Penang, the “Pearl of the Orient” via one of the longest bridges in the world.

DAY 6 DISCOVERY TOUR OF GEORGETOWN, PENANG

Today visit the 3rd longest reclining Buddha figure in the world followed by Kek Lok Si Temple, the Temple of 1000 Buddhas. Visit Fort Cornwallis, the water village of The Clan Jetties at Weld Quay and “The Street of Harmony” where churches, Chinese temples, mosques and Hindu temples harmoniously exist side by side. Be amazed by the intricate Khoo Kong Si clan’s house. Enjoy a breezy trishaw ride. The rest of the day is free.
