DAY 1 LIMA

Welcome to Lima. Upon arrival we will be assisted at Lima airport and then transferred to our hotel.

Optional Excursions : You will visit the impressive Magic Water Circuit, the largest fountain complex in the world, which is included in the famous Guinness World Records list. The main pool, called the Magic Fountain, launches a jet of water that reaches a height of 80 meters. You will be able to pass through the Tunnel of Surprises, about 35 meters long; the Children’s Fountain, with an irresistible water system for playing; or the fountain of the Dream Labyrinth, which will allow you to discover a labyrinth made up of walls of water with different visual effects.

DAY 2 LIMA

Morning at leisure.
14:00 Lima City Tour: Historical Center, Santo Domingo Convent and Larco Museum (Half-day tour) Approximate duration: 5 hours.
Today we will learn about the two characters of Lima: the modern one, reflected in the districts of Miraflores and San Isidro; and the historic one, encapsulated in its historic center declared a World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. Along the tour through different districts of the city, we will see how the old and the modern coexist in buildings such as the Museum of Italian Art, Palace of Justice, Museum of Lima, Plaza San Martín, among others. We will discover the center of Lima on foot, having the Main Square as the focal point: a beautiful colonial square worthy of photography, surrounded by emblematic buildings such as the Government Palace, the Cathedral and the Archbishops Palace. We will have the opportunity to enter one of the most iconic ecclesiastical spaces in Lima, the Convent of Santo Domingo, also declared Cultural Heritage of Humanity and where the relics of three Peruvian saints are found: Santa Rosa de Lima, San Martín de Porres and San Juan Macías. The tour would not be complete without a visit to the Rafael Larco Herrera Museum, one of the most important in the country, exhibiting a valuable collection of almost 45,000 pieces of pre-Hispanic cultures, especially the Mochicas. This museum stands out for being one of the first in the world to have storerooms that you can visit and to provide virtual access to its entire collection. We will marvel at the quality of its pieces of jewelry, textiles and its enigmatic “erotic room”, dedicated to ceramics alluding to fertility.

Optional Excursions : 09:30 Classics of Peruvian gastronomy Barranco
Approximate duration: 4 hours.
On this gastronomic route, you will enjoy the best Peruvian cuisine in one of the most iconic districts of Lima. Led by expert local hosts, you will walk around the bohemian streets of Barranco looking for 15 culinary experiences to pamper your taste buds. Ceviche, coffee, pisco drinks, and even chocolates, you will come across delicious flavors and textures while learning the historical and cultural details behind each ingredient and preparation.

DAY 3 LIMA - CUSCO - SACRED VALLEY

We will transfer from our hotel to the airport to board our flight to Cusco.
Welcome to Cusco.
Upon arrival, we will be assisted at the Cusco airport and then transferred to our hotel in the Sacred Valley. We will have the rest of the day to rest and acclimatize (journey time: approximately 1 hours and 30 minutes). You will have the rest of the day to rest and acclimatize.
EXPERT TIP: When arriving in Cusco, it is essential to dedicate at least a few hours to the initial rest to facilitate acclimatization to the altitude. You can take advantage of this time to explore the places in the city center, avoiding physically demanding activities. For this reason, it is advisable to opt for light foods during the first few days. Coca tea or tea tea is a valuable ally at this time. Hotels provide hot mate at the front desk; Don’t hesitate to give them a try!

Approximate duration: 2:30 hours. | Shared Service
Pachamanca, which translates to “earthen oven” in the Quechua language, is a traditional Inca meal cooked on hot rocks. The Pachamanca lunch includes a tour of the El Albergue orchard, as well as a visit to our cañazo distillery (sugar cane liquor) and coffee roasting. Then, we invite you to participate in the preparation of the Pachamanca, while learning about the history and culture surrounding this traditional method of cooking. Lunch includes chicken, pork, and lamb, cooked in a stone oven (alpaca, rabbit, and guinea pig available upon request), Andean potatoes and sweet potatoes, organic vegetables, a homemade salad, traditional salsas, and chicha morada (a local purple corn drink). We can accommodate most dietary restrictions with advance notice, and wine and beer are available for purchase. Lunch is served at picnic tables located on the farm with stunning views of the surrounding mountains, glaciers, and Inca archaeological sites. At the end you will be transferred to your hotel.

DAY 4 SACRED VALLEY

08:00 Essence of the Sacred Valley: Chinchero, Textile Session, Moray and Ollantaytambo
Approximate duration: 10 hours.
In the Sacred Valley we will find millenary history and living culture. We’ll visit Chinchero, where we’ll learn about its
traditional fabrics and the symbolism behind its designs and colors by visiting the Parwa cultural center. We will have the opportunity to appreciate the textile process of each piece, the inputs used, the method of obtaining its natural dyes and the weaving techniques that are passed down from generation to generation. In addition, we will be able to see the work of the artisans live. We will also arrive at the archaeological complex of Chinchero, one of the most impressive in the area that during the Tahuantinsuyo was an agricultural and livestock center, with terraces and aqueducts. Nearby, we’ll see the exterior of the Nuestra Señora de Montserrat church, built in 1607 on the site of the old Inca palace and which today is an example of the confluence of Andean and Spanish culture during the Viceroyalty, especially in the artistic aspect of its decoration. We will continue to delve into the Inca world in Moray, which during the Tahuantinsuyo functioned as a laboratory and agricultural research center according to some studies. Its huge concentric terraces and the variety of microclimates they create allowed for the growth of a wide variety of crops. We’ll enjoy the local flavor in a restaurant during lunch and continue to Ollantaytambo, an ancient military, religious and agricultural center of the Incas. We’ll tour the main temple and the platforms of the stone fortress. Its fortress, a sign of all the Inca power, is strategically located on a mountain, where we will visit its main temple, platforms and
fountains, while enjoying an unbeatable view of the town, the only one that maintains the original Inca urban design and where we can get to know its stone streets, its market and breathe the spirit of the Andes.

DAY 5 SACRED VALLEY - MACHU PICCHU

EXPERT TIP: We remind you that, due to the train’s policies, each person is limited to carrying a single piece of luggage with a maximum weight of 5 kg in a small backpack during their stay in Machu Picchu. Therefore, we recommend that you bring only what you need. Sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and mosquito repellent can be very helpful for your comfort during this excursion.

One of the most important tourist landmarks in the world awaits us: Machu Picchu! Our adventure will begin aboard a train bound for Aguas Calientes, also known as Machu Picchu Pueblo, a picturesque town at the foot of the emblematic Inca citadel. During the train ride we will be able to enjoy the natural beauty of the surroundings, with breathtaking views of majestic mountains, rivers and small villages of the Peruvian Andes; a visual feast that fills us with anticipation for the visit to the wonder that is Machu Picchu. After a short bus ride from Aguas Calientes we will find ourselves in front of one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World – it will be an unforgettable sight! From there, we’ll explore the incredible ruins, learning all about the history and mysteries that this mystical and impressive place holds. With incomparable landscapes everywhere, there will be no shortage of
opportunities to take spectacular photos! Once we have recharged with the magical energy of Machu Picchu we will
return to Aguas Calientes where we will have time to have lunch at a local restaurant; Then, we’ll have some free time
and wander the streets of this charming little town. In the afternoon, we will board the train that will take us back to Cusco through the corresponding station. Upon arrival, we will be transferred to our hotel.

DAY 6 CUSCO

13:00 Cusco City Tour: San Pedro market, Korikancha Temple, Cathedral, Sacsayhuamán, Kenko
Approximate duration: 5 hours.
This charming half-day tour of Cusco offers us history, living culture and art. We will be able to appreciate how the Andean and Spanish cultures, as well as the past and the present, coexist in harmony in the Imperial City. We will arrive at the center to walk the halls of the San Pedro market, the oldest in the city. Designed in 1925 by Gustave Eiffel, today it brings together hundreds of merchants selling local products. We will also visit the Koricancha temple, which during the Inca empire was a center of worship of the Sun and on which the Santo Domingo convent was later built as part of the evangelization process. Its baroque style façade built on solid Inca walls perfectly summarizes the syncretism of cultures in the city of Cusco. To appreciate the greatness of the Incas, we will ascend to the monumental fortress of Sacsayhuaman, which with its enormous carved stone walls constitutes one of the best examples of Inca military architecture. We will tour the archaeological center of Kenko, a ceremonial place where the sun, the moon and the stars were worshiped. We couldn’t take a tour of the city without visiting the Cathedral, the most important temple in the city. It was built by the Spanish on top of the palace of the Inca Huiracoha. Its interior houses a wonderful collection of colonial art composed of goldsmith pieces and representative canvases of the Cusco School of Art.

More than just a pisco tasting, this is a trip to Peru’s national liquor kingdom, where we’ll taste different varieties of pisco, as well as learn how to individually prepare the country’s most traditional cocktails with our friendly bartender. In addition, we will provide the opportunity to enjoy several appetizers from our restaurant (UCHU Peruvian Steakhouse). We will use only the best pisco varieties available from the Cuatro Gallos vineyard located in the Ica Valley in Peru. In this tasting we will learn how to accompany our fantastic drinks with the various classic Peruvian dishes so that you can continue to enjoy them during the rest of your meals throughout your trip.
