DAY 1 ARRIVAL IN ROME

Upon arrival at Rome Fiumicino airport, meet and greet your driver and transfer to your hotel. Time at leisure. Overnight at your hotel in Rome.

2 - 3

DAYS 2 – 3 ROME

After breakfast, enjoy your 48h Hop-on Hop-off ticket. Spend two leisurely days enjoying the cultural and artistic points of historical interest in the Eternal City. Following along with the maps that you will receive from the staff on board, the audio commentaries will explain the sights and monuments at each stop. You can photograph the most beautiful panoramas of Rome, all while comfortably seated aboard the double-decker open bus. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 4 ROME – TRAIN TO FLORENCE – ACCADEMIA *

Breakfast at the hotel then transfer on your own to the railway station to catch your train to Florence. Upon arrival, transfer on your own to the hotel. Reach the meeting point on your own for your guided tour of Florence. Follow your professional guide and stroll through the historic streets of the city to arrive in Piazza Duomo, where you will learn the secrets of the majestic Cathedral, the unmistakable Brunelleschi’s Dome, Giotto’s Bell Tower, and discover the beauty of the Baptistery with its golden, bronze doors (including the famous Door of Paradise). During the walking tour, your guide will point out the main monuments of the city: discover Dante’s House and the tiny church where, according to legend, he fell in love with Beatrice. Then, admire the Medieval district of Florence and learn what “tower houses” are and how the ancient Florentine nobility used them to demonstrate their power and greatness to their enemies. Admire Piazza della Repubblica with its elegant cafés and arcades and then admire Signoria Square and Loggia dei Lanzi, a real open-air museum. The next stop will be the Accademia Gallery, famous for Michelangelo’s, “David” sculpture, as well as some of his unfinished works of art including: the Prisoners, San Matteo, la Pietà di Palestrina, and other masterpieces. The rest of the day at leisure and overnight at the hotel in Florence.

5 - 6

DAYS 5 – 6 FLORENCE

Breakfast at the hotel and spend two leisurely days in this unique city. We suggest taking an optional (+$) full-day tour driving south from Florence and crossing the beautiful hills of Chianti to San Gimignano, a picturesque, fascinating medieval town declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and famous for its white wine, the world renowned “Vernaccia”; Siena, a medieval town with the evocative Piazza del Campo, famous for the Palio race and the Duomo, one of the most fascinating Italian churches in Gothic style. This optional tour will also include a tasting of the best “Chianti” red wine, along with homemade snacks. The tour will end in Florence city centre (railway station area). Return to your hotel on your own and the rest of the evening is yours to enjoy!

DAY 7 FLORENCE – TRAIN TO VENICE

After breakfast, transfer on your own to the railway station for departure to Venice by high-speed train. Upon your arrival in Venice, transfer on your own to the hotel. Time at leisure to discover this distinctive city. Overnight in Venice.

8 - 9

DAYS 8 – 9 VENICE

Breakfast at hotel. Spend two leisurely days enjoying the cultural and artistic points of historical interest. Make the most of your 2-day vaporetto pass. Take the opportunity to visit the Venetian islands. Departing from St. Mark’s Square, cruise past the island of San Giorgio Maggiore, the Public Gardens, the tip of Sant’Elena and the Lido, the famous beach resort. The boat will arrive at Murano, known throughout the world for its glass manufacturing industry. We suggest a stop at the picturesque island of Burano, famous not only for its lace, but also for the fishermen’s houses painted in bright colours. After a short voyage, reach Torcello, the earliest center of civilization in the lagoon. Only the cathedral with its magnificent mosaics and the church of Santa Fosca remains as testimony of its former glory. The rest of the day is free at leisure. Overnight at your hotel.

DAY 10 DEPARTURE FROM VENICE

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel, and then take your shared boat transfer to Venice airport for your return flight home.
