HIGHLIGHTS

Bagpipe Lesson, Isle of Skye, Loch Ness, Orkney Islands, Dunrobin Castle, Sheepdog Demonstration, Choice on Tour: McCaig’s Tower or Dunollie Castle Museum, Edinburgh Castle, Scottish Cooking Experience

Now it’s time for some distinctly Scottish music as we visit the National Piping Centre. From your very first steps into this remarkable building you’ll be charmed by the unique sounds of the bagpipe. Join an expert who will lead you through the museum to gain insight into the history of this intriguing instrument. Discover its true importance to Scottish culture, past and present. After a short demonstration, give it a try for yourself. Receive your chanter (the piece of the bagpipe that creates the melody) for a bit of practice. Once you get the hang of it, you’ll have the opportunity to try out the full instrument. Now that you have worked up an appetite, enjoy dinner at the Centre’s lovely farm-to-table restaurant. Savour a modern take on traditional Scottish cuisine and then cap off your evening like a true Scotsman — with a wee dram of whisky!
