Bali is famous for its traditional dances. One of them is the famous Barong & Keris Dance telling a story from the ancient Ramayana. Our first stop during this tour is to enjoy the beauty and graciousness of the skillful Balinese dancers. The dance expresses the eternal fight between good and evil spirits and ends up with the magical Keris (dagger) dance. Then we will proceed to the Village of Kemenuh to visit the talented Balinese woodcarving artists in their traditional workshops. You will see how they make beautiful statues and art out of a single block of wood. The journey then proceeds to Kintamani to view the breathtaking Lake Batur and the active Volcano called Mount Batur (1730 m.). Here is an opportunity for you to have lunch with an excellent view. Next destination is Tampaksiring, ‘The Fountain of Youth” and Holy Spring.

In the village of Batu Bulan you will be introduced to the fine art of Batik painting. After this interesting visit, we proceed to the eastern part of Bali, to visit the Kehen Temple, an ancient Hindu temple complex boasting unique architectural features. The temple courtyard is reachable from ground level up a flight of 38 stairs, with carved sandstone mythical animal and Balinese folklore figure statues around the staircases and the central vestibule. At Bukit Jambul, we will stop for a refreshing view over the beautiful valley and have an opportunity for lunch. On our way through the east of Bali you will discover the traditional village of Penglipuran. This place is unique for its different social community structure and layout of the village which dates back to the 16th century. On our return we will pay a visit to The Hall of Justice named “Kerta Gosa” in Klungkung, Bali’s former capital.
