DAY 1 BERN

Arrival in Bern. You will be able to get to know the unique beauty of Switzerland’s capital by joining the included city tour before midday. During your walk through the Old Town, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you will learn numerous important and humorous facts about daily life as well as its history.

In the afternoon, stop at one of the small street cafes or vaulted cellars full of locals for lunch and feel the relaxed Bernese way of life. The long arcades ‐ with 6 kilometres these are the longest covered Shopping promenades in Europe ‐ invite you to stroll along the streets which preserved a very traditional atmosphere. Stop around Kornhaus area for a drink and dinner in one of the many traditional or trendy restaurants.

DAY 2 BERN

Breakfast at the hotel. Head to the impressive Kirchenfeldbrucke with great views of the city and the river Aare. On the other side you will find the Einstein Museum, where a visit is included. It is a ’must’ with its powerful presentation of the life and work of Albert Einstein, who was living in Bern when his theory of relativity turned our perceptions of space and time upside down.

After lunch (not included), take a very pleasant stroll along the Aare takes you to the restaurant Old Tramdepot, where you can enjoy a seasonal dish, a locally brewed beer and fantastic views. Famous Bear Park is just two steps further. Don’t miss this opportunity to take pictures of the heraldic animal which, according to legend, gave the city its name. A little detour takes you to one of the most beautiful parks in Bern with an unrivalled view over the rooftops, the minster and the loop of the Aare River.
