Several itineraries of varying lengths are available in a self-guided format, offering complete freedom with easy navigation and 24/7 assistance. For an even more immersive experience, one guided tour also gives you the opportunity to learn the basics of Italian along the way. And for those who prefer walking, an alternative itinerary combines hiking and train travel!

CO2 EMISSIONS FLAT-RATE COMPENSATION

Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions are a major contributor to climate change, and they primarily come from the burning of fossil fuels like coal, oil, and natural gas. When we burn these fuels for energy, CO2 is released into the atmosphere, where it traps heat and contributes to the greenhouse effect, leading to global warming. Transportation and Deforestation are two of the many key Sources of CO2 Emissions. As Salento Bici tour we are strongly committed to environmental sustainability, which is the core reason of our foundation. We want to enhance our efforts, especially considering that most of our clients travel by plane and car, and we transfer their luggage by van. Therefore from 2025 on, we will devote 20€ per client (already included in the package) to a reforestation and conservation project. The project will be developed by our side non-profit organization called F.O.I.E. (in local dialect “wild herbs”, which also means “Fronte Organizzato Iniziative Ecologiche” so “Organized Front Ecological Initiatives”), focusing on local flora and biodiversity, also giving a small contribution to restore our landscape destroyed by Xylella bacteria and monoculture.
