DAY 1 ARRIVAL IN LISBON - ÓBIDOS (approx. 90km)
Welcome to Portugal! Upon arrival, pick up your car from the Europcar car-hire desk at Lisbon Airport and drive north of Lisbon to the medieval walled town Óbidos and overnight in the Pousada Castelo de Óbidos, located within the beautiful old castle walls. Óbidos is known for its typical white houses, flowered windows and narrow streets paved with beautiful stone. During your stay in Óbidos, enjoy the area with its beautiful landscape and national monuments nearby Batalha and Alcobaça, as well as the picturesque fishing town of Nazaré.

DAYS 2 - 4 ÓBIDOS - PORTO (approx. 245km)
Drive to northern Portugal from Óbidos to Porto. Located on the right bank of the Douro River that crosses the Porto wine region, Porto offers the delights of a riverside city. During your 3 nights stay in Porto, we suggest enjoying the city and its monuments; we suggest visiting the historic centre of the city, classified as UNESCO World Heritage Site, a Porto wine cellar just the other side of the riverbank or take a cruise on Douro River, where you have the opportunity to admire the old city of Porto.
Enjoy a full day to Guimarães, Portugal’s birthplace with its medieval castle, the 18th century shrine of Bom Jesus de Braga, the beautiful small town of Ponte de Lima, and the Viana do Castelo with its handicrafts.

DAY 5 PORTO - COIMBRA (approx. 130km)
Driving from Porto to the south, visit Aveiro, the “Venice of Portugal” and its monuments. Explore Bussaco and the Royal Palace, and Coimbra, where you will overnight. The following day, visit this unique and special university town, one of Europe’s oldest universities. It has kept its secular academic traditions as seen in the black caped students. Also, 16km south of Coimbra, you can find Conimbriga and the roman ruins.

DAYS 6 - 7 COIMBRA - ESTORIL (approx. 190km)
The following 2 nights you will overnight on the Lisbon’s seaside coast, in Estoril, a village known as “Portuguese French Riviera”. During these days, don’t miss the chance of visiting the romantic Sintra area with its unique Palaces. Enjoy dinner in charming restaurants in the area. We suggest taking this opportunity to visit Lisbon again and seeing its monuments, the medieval quarters of Alfama and Mouraria, or walk along the typical streets of Bairro Alto and Madragoa. Experience this lively area for one night and have dinner in a local Fado restaurant.

DAY 8 DEPARTURE FROM LISBON
After breakfast, drive back to Lisbon to return your car at the airport to meet your return flight or extend your holidays.
