

This itinerary begins in the vibrant energy of Rio de Janeiro, where you will discover world-famous landmarks such as Christ the Redeemer atop Corcovado and Sugarloaf Mountain. You will also have time to explore independently the historic district of Santa Teresa, as well as the iconic beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema. The journey then continues north to Manaus, the gateway to the Amazon. Over several days, you will enjoy a fully immersive experience in your jungle lodge: guided walks through the primary rainforest, nocturnal wildlife spotting (including caimans), piranha fishing, and visits to local communities to learn about life along the river. Finally, you will fly to Foz do Iguaçu to admire the Iguazu Falls, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This journey allows you to experience the 275 waterfalls from two perspectives: the Brazilian side for its spectacular panoramic views, and the Argentine side for a closer, more immersive encounter with the thunderous Devil’s Throat.

TOURIST OPTION – EVOLUCAO LODGE
Your journey begins with a transfer by vehicle followed by a speedboat ride along the Rio Negro to the lodge, where you will receive a warm welcome. You will then enjoy moments of relaxation and meals featuring local flavors before heading out to discover the igapó, the flooded forest, a unique ecosystem where trees emerge directly from the water. Throughout your stay, you will explore the jungle on guided hikes, discover the lifestyle of riverside communities during a visit to a caboclo house, and learn about their traditions, including the production of cassava flour. You will also experience typical Amazon activities such as canoeing through the igarapés, piranha fishing, and wildlife observation at sunset. A night canoe excursion will allow you to approach jungle wildlife, including caimans and nocturnal animals, enhanced by the play of light in the Amazonian darkness. Mornings also offer unique experiences, such as an early canoe trip on the Ariau River to observe tropical birds, followed by a visit to the “Monkey Forest,” a protected area dedicated to observing several species in their natural habitat. The stay ends with a final free morning at the lodge before returning to Manaus.

This option offers a more exclusive immersion in the Amazon, combining lodge comfort with a deeper exploration of the tropical rainforest. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your accommodation by boat and vehicle, before beginning a stay filled with guided activities designed to fully explore the richness of this unique ecosystem. You will embark on hikes through primary rainforest along more than 10 km of trails, discovering giant trees, orchids, medicinal plants, and tropical fruits, accompanied by experienced guides. You will also visit the Monkey Forest, a conservation center where primates live in a protected natural environment, as well as a caboclo community to learn more about local traditions and riverine lifestyles, including artisanal skills such as cassava flour production. HALF-DAY MACUCO SAFARI – EXTENSION OF THE BRAZILIAN FALLS VISIT

The Macuco Safari offers a unique adventure in the heart of the lush Iguazu tropical rainforest. The excursion begins aboard an off-road vehicle that takes you through dense jungle, where you will discover a wide variety of subtropical plant species, including numerous orchids and the famous heart of palm. Throughout the journey, you will be accompanied by the sounds of local wildlife, and with a bit of luck, you may spot tropical birds and other emblematic species of the region. After approximately 3 km by vehicle, you will continue on foot along a 600-meter trail leading to the beautiful Macuco Falls, hidden in a small canyon deep within the forest. You will then reach the banks of the Iguazu River to board a specially designed inflatable boat adapted for its turbulent waters.
