The Experience
Are you ready to experience a new way to discover the most authentic Japan? On board MSC Bellissima, we will take you, plying the waves, directly to the ports of six cities often untouched by conventional itineraries.
MSC Bellissima, a modern cruise ship, is 315 metres long and will offer you comfort, entertainment and unforgettable experiences.
You will be able to choose between rooms with wonderful views of the sea, directly from your private balcony, or compact and convenient interior rooms, to enjoy life on board and shore excursions to the fullest.
The on-board kitchen will delight you with a varied international gastronomic offer. Of course sushi and teppanyaki, but also Italian, Chinese, French and much more, in 12 carefully designed restaurants and bars to meet all your needs.

From Yokohama to Ishinomaki
We’ll depart from Yokohama, the gateway port to Tokyo, and head north to Ishinomaki, a harbour town reborn stronger after the 2011 tsunami, famous for its delicious seafood and Matsushima Bay, one of Japan’s three famous historic views.
Miyako
The next destination will be Miyako, a small town in Iwate prefecture nestled between the inlets of the Sanriku coastline. Part of a Japan still concealed from international visitors, you will have the privilege of admiring at close quarters one of the most dynamic summer festivals, the Sansa dance of Morioka, and the marvellous scenery of the Jodogahama coastline.
Aomori
Aomori, a cool location even at the peak of summer, is the gateway to Hirosaki, a historic castle town inland and famous for the dynamic Nebuta Matsuri, the festival of huge paper lanterns, which will take place just as our ship pulls into port.
Busan
After a full day’s sailing in the Sea of Japan, for half a day we will visit Busan, the largest port in South Korea, a dynamic and innovative nation attracting more and more visitors in recent years thanks to the K-Pop phenomenon!
The famous seaside temple Haedong-Yonggung-sa is one of the attractions not to be missed.
Kagoshima
Back in Japan, we then find ourselves in Kagoshima, Kyushu, a city made great by the Satsuma clan, which displays the splendour of yesteryear in its Sengan-en gardens. The mighty Sakurajima volcano, opposite Kagoshima harbour, will welcome our ship.
Kochi
Before returning to Yokohama, your last stop will be Kochi, a historic city on the island of Shikoku. During your more than 24-hour stay in the city, you will have the chance to enjoy the fireworks display over the bay, and watch the traditional Yosakoi dance parade up close. That’s two birds with one stone!

Arrive at Narita or Haneda. Transfer from airport to hotel with an English-speaking assistant.

DAY 2 / AUGUST 1 / TOKYO
Today, you will have a City tour of Tokyo with a local guide using public transportation.
You will start at the hotel at 09:00. You will then visit Tokyo Imperial Palace, Asakusa Buddhist temple: Senso-ji, followed by a walk in the Nakamise shopping street.
A lunch in the Asakusa area is included. After lunch, you will go on a Ginza walking tour before visiting the the Tokyo Tower. Return to the hotel.

Kōchi, the capital of the ancient province of Tosa, will welcome you into its subtropical vibe.
In the town of Sakamoto Ryoma, famous for the long Katsurahama beach, you will have the chance to savor no less than two summer events during your stay: the summer fireworks festival (suspended in case of rain), and the Yosakoi dance parade on the second day.
