Special Notes

*Please note in Rouen and in Bruges, the coach cannot stop in front of the hotels as they are located in narrow streets of the old town. The group will have to be dropped off about a 3-5-minute walk from the hotel and roll their own luggage from the coach to the hotel and vice versa when they leave the next day.

DAY 1 - MAY 29TH - GIVERNY GARDENS - NORMANDY

Arrive in Paris. Meet with your local tour manager at around 11AM in the centre of Paris and board the coach to travel to Giverny. Visit the Fondation Monet. You will also get to enjoy a sit-down 2-course lunch at the Fondation Monet’s restaurant. Continue to the Normandy region. Check in to your hotel in Rouen and enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure.

DAY 2 - MAY 30TH - THE CIDER TRAIL - HONFLEUR - CAMBREMER - BAYEUX

After breakfast, travel to Honfleur, and stop for a small visit. Continue to Cambremer the start of the Cider route. Enjoy lunch and a visit to the Manoir de Grandouet, a Cider manufacturer. Enjoy a nice Cider tasting included. If time permits, we will stop for Calvados at Père Magloire (tasting not included – to pay on site approx. €15). Then we will visit Beuvron en Auge, one of the prettiest villages in France. Head to Bayeux where you will spend the night.

DAY 3 - MAY 31ST - ALL DAY D-DAY TOUR

Breakfast at the hotel.
Today is all about D-Day. Meet your local specialist guide and tour the main sights. You will get to see the Canadian sites such as the Cemetery of Beny sur Mer and the Juno Beach Centre. You will also see “traditional” sites such as Arromanches, Longues-sur-Mer for the German Gun Battery and finally the American Cemetery and Omaha Beach. Return to your hotel and overnight.

DAY 4 - JUNE 1ST - MONT-SAINT-MICHEL

After breakfast, head to Mont Saint-Michel for the day. The day will be yours to explore at leisure.
Mont-Saint-Michel and its bay count among France’s most stunning sights. This holy island is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as is its breathtaking bay. Set in a mesmerizing bay shared by Normandy and Brittany, the mount draws the eye from a great distance. There are many things for you to do while at Mont-Saint-Michel, tour the Abbey (not included), marvel at the greatest tidal range in continental Europe or even cross the Bay on foot!
Head back to your hotel and say goodbye to your local tour escort. Overnight in Bayeux.

DAY 5 - JUNE 2ND - DAY AT LEISURE IN BAYEUX

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.
Today the day is yours to explore Bayeux.
There are many things to see in Bayeux, the Notre-Dame Cathedral, the world-renowned Tapestry (listed in the UNESCO Memory of the World register), bear witness to the opulence of the Duchy of Normandy, walk through the narrow-cobbled streets of the historic town center and admire some of the many elegant 17th and 18th century mansions and town houses. You can also walk along the Aure river, which is beautifully landscaped and provides pleasant spots to enjoy nature in the heart of town, with unexpected views of the town’s heritage and architectural gems.

DAY 6 - JUNE 3RD - BAYEUX - ABBEVILLE - BRUGES

After breakfast, depart Bayeux to make your way to Bruges.
You will stop in Abbeville along the way for lunch (not included) and stroll around along the way. You can opt for an optional visit to the Chateau de Bagatelle of Abbeville (approx. +€12), a walk in the Park La Bouvaque (free entrance), or you can visit the church or Abbeville communal cemetery. Continue to Bruges. Rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 7 - JUNE 4TH - FULL DAY FLANDERS FIELD

After breakfast, meet your guide at the hotel for a Full-day Flanders Field tour with an emphasis on Canadian sites. Travel to Ypres. Visit to the Flanders Field Museum. View the Menin Gate. You will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, you will tour major sites such as Essex Farm Cemetery, German War Cemetery, the St. Julien Canadian Memorial, Tyne Cot Cemetery, Crest Farm Cemetery and Canada Gate. Return to Bruges for an overnight.

DAY 8 - JUNE 5TH - DAY AT LEISURE IN BRUGES

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.
Today is yours to explore Bruges at leisure. (optional 3h - walking city tour available $)
Bruges is a UNESCO World Heritage City; it is a feast for the eyes. The charming city center is packed with history and heritage, it is guaranteed to leave an impression. It is a city on a human scale, made great by its compelling history. From the Rozenhoedkaai and the Market Square, through the Lake of Love and the canals, the Beguinage, the almshouses and more, you will be charmed by Bruges and its iconic sites.
Overnight in Bruges.

DAY 9 - JUNE 6TH - BRUGES - BRUSSELS

After breakfast, depart from Bruges and head to Brussels.
Upon arrival say goodbye to your driver and enjoy the rest of your day at your leisure.

DAY 10 - JUNE 7TH - BRUSSELS AT LEISURE

Breakfast at the hotel.
Enjoy a day at leisure in Brussels.
Whether you want to admire Brussels’ historic monuments, discover its museums or try local gastronomy, there is always something to see or do in the capital of Europe! Maybe a Chocolate tour, a walking tour, shopping, or an optional ($) full day tour to Luxembourg (2.5 hours drive per direction).
Overnight in Brussels.
