DAY 1 ARRIVAL IN DUBLIN

Welcome to Dublin, capital city of Ireland! On arrival transfer to your hotel in the city centre. Depending on your time of arrival you may want to explore the city. Why not include a city walking tour with a local guide to learn about the history, live and culture of Dublin or use your 2-Day Hop On Hop Off Pass to explore the city? Take the opportunity to visit Trinity College to view the beautifully illuminated Book of Kells and the National Museum of Ireland (entry free of charge).

DAY 2 DUBLIN

After breakfast, discover more of the city, with your Hop On Hop Off Pass. By now, you will have noticed that Dublin is split in half. The northern side is a lively area with lots of attractions such as the General Post Office on Dublin’s main street, O’Connell Street. The southern side on the other hand has a more refined feel with its Georgian squares, the famous-coloured front doors and the fashionable shopping district of Grafton Street with its upmarket shops.

DAY 3 DUBLIN TO BELFAST BY TRAIN

In the morning, take the train to Belfast. Explore the city and admire some exquisite examples of Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian architecture, dominated by the magnificently domed City Hall. This Renaissance-style building of Portland stone completed in 1906 and each of the building’s corners has a tower. Its graceful dome rises in the centre to 185 feet. Half a mile from this area is Queens University, with its mellow brickwork and Tudor cloister.

DAY 4 BELFAST - TITANIC BELFAST EXPERIENCE

Visit the Titanic Belfast Experience, located in the heart of Belfast (entrance included). The Titanic Belfast recreates the story of the world’s most famous ship in a new iconic, six floor building right beside the historic site of the original ship’s construction. Opened in April 2012 to coincide with the centenary of its launch, the self-guided journey begins on entering the building's giant atrium, where the visitor is surrounded by the four ‘ship’s hull’ shaped wings which house the Titanic Experience. As you journey through the nine large galleries of the interactive exhibition, you will uncover the true story of the Titanic, from her conception in Belfast in the early 1900's, through her construction and launch, to her famous maiden voyage and subsequent place in history.

DAY 5 BELFAST - GIANT'S CAUSEWAY

Day tour to Giant’s Causeway. The new Visitor centre explores the major themes of mythology, geology, landscape, ecology, culture and social history based on the UNESCO World Heritage site that consists of 40,000 basalt polygonal columns formed 60 million years ago after a volcanic eruption. There are various interactive exhibits and short video presentations within five designated interpretive exhibition areas and the self-guided visit will culminate with a spectacular two-minute audio-visual projection of a volcanic eruption flowing over the walls and onto the floor. In 2015, Conde Nast Traveler magazine included hopping the stones of the Giant's Causeway as one of the '50 things to do in Europe before you die'.

DAY 6 BELFAST TO DUBLIN BY TRAIN - WICKLOW - KILKENNY

In the morning, return to Dublin by train, and take a day tour to Wicklow and Kilkenny. From golden sandy beaches to rolling hills and valleys, Wicklow’s unique topography means that, yet another stunning scene awaits just minutes away no matter where you are in the county. Kilkenny’s heritage is evident in the city and surroundings including the historic buildings such as Kilkenny Castle, St. Canice's Cathedral and round tower, Rothe House, Shee Alms House, Black Abbey and St. Mary's Cathedral. One of the most instantly recognised buildings in Ireland, Kilkenny Castle has been an important site since it was built by the Anglo-Normans in the 12th century. The castle has been remodeled in Victorian times and set in extensive parklands. In the evening, why not conclude your holiday with a traditional Irish evening of food, song and dancing.
