DAY 1 NAIROBI
Upon arrival in Nairobi, you will be welcomed by our local representative and transfer to your hotel in Nairobi.

DAY 2 SAMBURU
Early breakfast at your hotel. Drive across the Equator to Kenya’s rugged north eastern region with lunch en route at a restaurant. This is a semi-arid country with the great Ewaso Nyiro River flowing through that draw wildlife in great numbers. As you drive to your lodge watch out for herds of impalas, Grant gazelles, and African buffalo as you enter Samburu National Reserve with a game drive en route to your lodge.

DAY 3 SAMBURU
Breakfast. Today you will go on a morning and afternoon game drive staying close to the Ewaso Nyiro River, where vast herds of plains game come to water, braving lions in the grass, leopards in the trees, and giant crocodiles. Stars of Samburu not easily seen elsewhere are the liver-red reticulated giraffe, the long-necked gerenuk antelope, and the elegant grevy zebra. A village visit during one of your game drives.

DAY 4 ABEDARE
Breakfast. Drive south toward Mt Kenya to arrive at your lodge in time for lunch. Transfer in the lodge vehicle to your overnight game viewing Treehotel, to watch wildlife drinking at the floodlit waterhole.

DAY 5 LAKE NAKURU
Drive via Nyaururu Falls to Lake Nakuru National Park best known for its flamingos. It is a home to many animals including waterbuck, leopards and Rothschild giraffe. The park is also a sanctuary for black rhinos.

DAY 6 MASAI MARA
After breakfast traverse the Rift Valley and ascend its western rim into the Masai land. Red-clad, with spear Masai warriors tend their herds of cattle among the wildlife, admirably unmoved by the presence of large predators. You find the Masai giraffe in this park. Afternoon game drive in the Mara, famous for the Wildebeest and Zebra migration and its abundance of wildlife.

DAY 7 MASAI MARA
Morning and afternoon game drives in this spectacular game reserve, all with superb photographic opportunities. Blessed with a permanent water supply, Masai Mara has a permanent population of plains game. The “big five” – elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard and rhino are quite common. Village visit during one of your game drives.
