DAY 1 QUEENSTOWN

Arrive in Queenstown and transfer to your hotel with the rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 2 QUEENSTOWN

This morning is at leisure before your 6pm departure from the Real Journeys Visitors Center on Steamer Wharf Report to the Steamer Wharf 20 minutes prior to your departure.

A return scenic cruise from Queenstown Bay across stunning Lake Wakatipu to Walter Peak High Country Farm on the vintage steamship TSS Earnslaw, a farm tour and a delicious gourmet BBQ dinner.

A dining experience that’s unlike any other in Queenstown, guests disembark from their cruise at Walter Peak where they are escorted through the lakeside gardens to the recently refurbished Colonel’s Homestead and seated for dinner. Relax in the unique ambience in front of a roaring open fire and soak in the views from this stunning lakeside setting while chefs prepare a gourmet BBQ on the outdoor grill. Enjoy a selection of succulent New Zealand meat and seafood accompanied by delectable seasonal salads, tasty dessert treats and local cheeses. All meat and seafood is cooked on the outdoor BBQ and rotisserie in front of guests and served immediately. A locally influenced wine list and other beverages are available for purchase from the bar. After your meal, guests join an entertaining farm experience which gives guests an insight into the life on a New Zealand high country including a sheep shearing demonstration. The night cruise home is magical. Join in the camaraderie of a sing-a-long with the ship’s pianist on the return journey.

Day 3 QUEENSTOWN

Today you will travel along the shores of Lake Wakatipu and through the rolling countryside to Te Anau. After a short break you will continue via the spectacular Milford Road to Milford Sound before boarding the boat for a cruise the entire length of the Sound to the Tasman Sea. There are excellent viewing opportunities for waterfalls, rainforest, mountains and wildlife. At the termination of the cruise, you will board the coach for the journey back to Queenstown.

DAY 4 QUEENSTOWN

Queenstown Highlights - Half Day Tour
A Limousine South vehicle will pick you up from your accommodation for your transfer to the departure point of your tour. At 9:30am join your coach to commence a half day Queenstown Highlights tour. Start with a visit to Queenstown Hill, with its spectacular bird’s eye views of Queenstown, Lake Wakatipu and The Remarkables mountain range. Next, head out to the AJ Hackett Bungy Bridge to watch intrepid jumpers from the viewing deck. This is followed by Gibbston Valley Winery, where you will enjoy a selection of three wines produced on-site, along with the region’s only cheesery. The Lord of the Rings film sites are always a highlight - be transported to Middle Earth at the Kawarau Gorge, film location for the Pillars of the Kings. Finally, spend some time in the small village of Arrowtown and discover its golden history and colonial architecture. Highlights include the Lakes District Museum and the Chinese Miners’ Settlement. Tour concludes back in Queenstown at approximately 12:30pm, at which time accommodation drop offs will commence.

DAY 5 QUEENSTOWN

Say farewell to Queenstown as you are transferred to the airport for your onward travel plans.
