Cairns Highlights

On arrival into Cairns airport you will be transferred by coach to your Cairns accommodation with the rest of the day at leisure to explore the quaint city of Cairns.

Join Great Adventures at Reef Fleet Terminal, Cairns to commence a Great Barrier Reef Adventure tour. Escape into a world of surprises to experience the breathtaking beauty of the Outer Great Barrier Reef. The stable reef activity platform is the perfect base for swimmers and non-swimmers to explore. Snorkel and/or dive, visit the underwater observatory, cruise in a semi-sub, or just relax on the sundeck with a delicious buffet lunch. Join the Great Barrier Reef’s vibrant marine life for a voyage into one of the natural wonders of the world. In addition to the activities included in your tour, there is also a wide range ofoptional activities to experience on Outer Great Barrier Reef activity platform. Scuba dive, join a snorkel tour, Scuba Doo below the waves or enjoy the Great Barrier Reef for the air with a scenic helicopter tour. Tour concludes at approximately 5:30pm, at departure point.

A Tropic Wings coach will pick you up from your hotel for your transfer to Freshwater Railway Station, the departure points for your tour. At 08:45am board the Kuranda Scenic Railway to commence a full day Grand Kuranda tour. Travel by train to the picturesque village of Kuranda winding through 15 hand cut tunnels and past spectacular waterfalls. On arrival at Kuranda enjoy time to wander through the Kuranda Village and visit the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary, with a guided tour through the landscaped gardens. Transfer to the Rainforestation Nature Park for lunch, performance by the Pamagirri Aboriginal Dance Troupe and the Dreamtime Walk including boomerang throwing, spear throwing and didgeridoo playing. Tour through the rainforest in an amphibious Army Duck and visit the Tropical Fruit Orchard. Visit the Koala and Wildlife Park to have your photo taken with a koala (at own expense), hand feed kangaroos and view the awesome crocodiles. At 03:45pm transfer to Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and glide above the rainforest canopy to the Smithfield Terminal with stops along the way at Red Peak Station and Barron Falls Station. Tour concludes at approximately 05:30pm, at which time hotel drop offs will commence.
