DAY 1 ARRIVAL IN CARTAGENA
Welcome in Colombia! Upon arrival in Cartagena International Airport, you will be welcomed by your bilingual guide and transferred privately to your hotel located in the historic center of the city. Pick-up time will be reconfirmed locally. Check-in at Casa La Factoria by Faranda Boutique Hotel. This elegant colonial property has been carefully restored and features rustic-style rooms, an indoor and outdoor pool, a bar with city views, a terrace, and a restaurant. Ideally located in the heart of Cartagena’s historic center, the hotel is within walking distance of Plaza de Santo Domingo, the city’s main attractions, and a wide variety of dining options.

DAY 2 CARTAGENA
After breakfast, set out to discover Cartagena, one of Colombia’s most iconic destinations. Founded in 1533 by Spanish conquistador Don Pedro de Heredia, the city later became a jewel of the Spanish Crown due to its strategic and commercial importance. During this guided tour, explore the famous Walled City, surrounded by the largest fortified walls in the Americas, built to protect the city and its inhabitants from frequent pirate attacks. Stroll through its charming colonial streets and discover highlights such as Plaza Santo Domingo, its historic church, and La Gorda Gertrudis, the famous sculpture donated by Colombian artist Fernando Botero. Continue your visit at the Naval Museum of the Caribbean, located in a building dating back to 1612. After spending more than a century in ruins, the building was restored and now houses a fascinating collection showcasing Cartagena’s maritime history and heritage. The tour concludes with a visit to the San Pedro Claver Convent and Church, a remarkable 17th-century construction honoring Saint Peter Claver and his humanitarian work. Rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 3 CARTAGENA - MÚCURA ISLAND
After breakfast, enjoy a private transfer with driver to Cartagena’s pier. Upon arrival, board a shared boat transfer to Múcura Island, a tropical gem located in the San Bernardo Archipelago, off Colombia’s Caribbean coast. Enjoy an approximately 2-hour boat ride through the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea, with beautiful views of the surrounding islands along the way. Entrance to the Rosario and San Bernardo Coral Reefs National Natural Park is included. Upon arrival on Múcura Island, check-in at your hotel and begin your stay in this idyllic setting, surrounded by white-sand beaches, crystal-clear waters, and pristine tropical landscapes.

After breakfast, enjoy a shared boat transfer from your hotel on Isla Grande to Cartagena. Take in the final views of the Rosario Islands during this approximately 1-hour journey across the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea. Upon arrival at Cartagena’s pier, enjoy a private transfer with driver to your hotel. Evening at leisure.

Enjoy Cartagena at night, riding on a “Chiva” – a brightly colored traditional Caribbean bus – with the music turned up, browsing through the modern city, the colonial sector, and the narrow streets alongside the old Walled City. Enjoy this kind of party on a bus, and discover Cartagena from a different point of view. Visit the most representative places of the city like Bocagrande, the San Felipe Castle, the Monument to India Catalina, the Clock Tower, among others. DAY 10 DEPARTURE FROM CARTAGENA
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Cartagena airport. From there, you may continue your journey independently or begin your return trip to Canada.
